Student Organization Competitions

Parade

  • All student organizations participating in the parade will be judged on their creativity and if their submission best represents/describes the purpose, goals, and aims of your organization.
  • The Office of Student Life & Development will be offering food service awards to the winning organizations:
    1st place - $200
    2nd place - $150
    3rd place - $100
    These monies can be used towards the winning organization’s next event. All prize money must be used during the Fall 2023 semester ONLY
  • High School Bands and High School ROTC units will be judged and awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies.
  • At the conclusion of the Homecoming Parade, the High School Bands that participated will enter Hughes Stadium through Gate 15 located on Stadium Way. They will be seated on chairs located on the grass along the south stadium wall.
  • After the Parade all JROTC units will meet in the Armory for a military mentoring and team building session with past Morgan Army ROTC Alumni and supporting Military Organizations.

Building Competition

  • Each building, using its own materials, will decorate their lobby that will exemplify how your organization views Morgan Legacy
  • All buildings must be decorated by by 7:00 am on Saturday, October 5, 2024
  • Buildings will be judged according to the following:
    1. Originality
    2. Appropriateness
    3. Thematic Décor
    4. Aesthetic Appeal
    5. Completeness
    6. Effectiveness
